It sounds like you are needing a winch like the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch # DL25010. This winch is rated for a load capacity of 3,000lbs. It is electric with a 10' remote cord and includes a back up handle. You can opt for a Dutton-Lainson Mounting Adapter Plate # DL24055 for mounting on a trailer surface or the Dutton-Lainson Ball Adapter Plate # DL24053 will allow you to slide it over a 2" hitch ball to hold the winch in place. Both will allow you to easily remove the winch when not needed.
