Question:

I want to purchase balance beads for my trailer tires 235 75R 17.5 My chart says 6 oz of beads per tire. Is that correct? Also I use TST tire sensors on my tires. Do I need a different valve core? Thank you

Yes, you need the 6 oz bag of the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads # CA44FR for your 235/75R17.5 tires. This is a single bag but we have it available in a 4-pack as part # CA55FR as well is your trailer is a tandem axle.

You will need to remove your TST sensors and install the valve cores on the OEM valve stem of your tires for this application and you can use the Valve Core Tool # CA68FR to accomplish this. Once the new core is in place you can inflate and install the TST sensors just like normal again. The core that comes with these kits prevents the balancing beads from flying out of the tire if you were to release some of the air via the valve stem.
