Will Re-Threading My Frame Bolt Holes On My 2014 Honda CR-V Still Allow My Hitch To Fit?
Published 09/01/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2013 Honda CR-V and I want to install one of your hitches. I noticed the threaded bolt hole mounts on the frame are totally rusted. The threads are gone. If I tap new threaded holes, are the mounting bolts you supply going to fit the tapped out new threaded holes? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
As long as the new threads you tap for your hitch match the thread of the bolts, then you will have no issues.
For instance, if you had the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13119, then you'd just need to tap your frame holes to match the M10x1.25 bolts, and you'll be good to go!
Attached is an installation video of # C13119 for you to check out as well.
