Question:
Would any flexible hose work for this 120 ft distance? And/Or would 1 inch schedule 40 pvc pipe work? Hose or pipe would be on flat or slightly downhill terrain.

Yes you can absolutely use PVC for your septic tank cleanout. I recommend checking out the:
-SewerSolution Macerator System for RV Waste Tanks # SS01.
This system can pump up to 100 feet on flat ground, however it is recommended to connect a hard PVC to the included hose for distances over 30'.
This included hose measures 10' long, so you'd need to connect the hose to the PVC using a 1" coupler for the remaining 110'.
