Difficult to Install Plunger of Roadmaster Breakaway Switch

Question:
Roadmaster breakaway switch key was pulled out by automatic car wash. Is there a trick to reing the key? Only seems to go in half way. Thank you

The switch can be somewhat difficult to fully seat in the housing but basically you just have to make sure the switch # RM-200200-20 is lined up properly and then apply firm pressure to get it to go all the way in.
