On my 2019 179 RPod, the tent would be directly in front of the camper door, how does one get in and out of the camper? Does the awning tent have an opening for door access?

Yes, the Medium QuickFit Tent # TH307056, that fits the Thule HideAway Awning # TH490011, has integrated doors on the left and right that allow you to get in and out of the tent without removing the tent or awning completely. This is essentially a standard type of tent that is held up by the awning.
