Do you have soft top camper shells that fit a 2022 ram classic 1500 reg cab 8 foot bed? Is there a bar across the tail gate or is it open when tail gate is down like a hard top cap? Cap would be used when traveling across the country stopping a National Parks and KOA Camps only. When not being used would like to use truck as a general purpose vehicle. Am I on the right track or would this not be recommended?

Yes, we do have a soft top camper shell for your 2022 Ram 1500 Classic with an 8' Bed and I highly recommend it. It is the Bestop Supertop for Truck Collapsible Bed Cover item # B76317. This soft top camper shell does have the bar across the tail gate but the back can be unzipped and folded up to the top so you can have full access to your truck bed. I have attached a review video below so you can see how this function works. It is around the 3:15 mark. This shell has removable zippered windows and side panels and a no-drill installation.
