Can The Yakima Rack And Roll Trailer Be Stood Up Vertically To Save Space?
Updated 07/29/2022 | Published 07/27/2022 >
Question:
I am looking to get a trailer that can stand up on its rear side and take up the least amount of space possible. I know the rack and roll can do this along with some of the Malone ones. Can you tell me which, when standing on its rear and possibly with the wheels removed would take up the least amount of space away from the wall? Would like to be able to park my car right up next to it so the less it sticks out, the better. Thank you for your help.

I took a look at the Yakima Rack and Roll # Y08106 that you're inquiring about, and it turns out you can actually stand this kayak up completely like you're wanting too.
You are just going to have to remove the wheels and the tongue, which is fairly easy and you'll be able to stand it upright.
With the wheels and the tongue removed, the Yakima is much smaller and will fit in your garage better than the Malone as the the tongue on the Malone can't be removed.
I have attached a customer submitted photo of someone doing just that for you to check out.
