Question:

Is it possible to mount a Thule Rod Vault 4 rod model to a set of aero crossbars using the t-slot to attach. This would be a cleaner look and provide more placement options not limited by cross bar bases than the universal mounting clamps that come with the Rod Vault. Can this be done, and if so, do you sell the necessary hardware? Thank you

I have a solution for you that will give you the cleaner look and more placement options you are looking for but the Thule Rod Vault 4 item # TH87YV does not have a T-bolt adapter to allow it to fit the top channels of a roof rack. Instead you can use the Yakima DoubleHaul Rooftop Fly Rod Carriers item # Y04087 and the SmarT-Slot Mounting Kit for Yakima DoubleHaul Fly Rod Carrier item # Y07356. This will give you the same capacity as the Thule and would look much better on top of your vehicle. I have linked a review video below of the Yakima DoubleHaul so you can see its functions and how ascetically pleasing it is mounted on a roof rack.
