How to Mount Thule DockGlide # TH896 on Subaru Outback

Question:

I purchased a Thule DockGlide from you all because the QandAs say that it will fit on the factory rails. I tried to install it, with the help of others, this weekend and no one can figure out how to make the clamps fit on the factory railings. Please help! Thank you!

I can definitely clarify for you. The Thule DockGlide # TH896 will fit on factory crossbars on your Subaru Outback as long as they do not exceed 4" wide x 1-1/2" tall. There is no way for the DockGlide to attach directly to factory rails if you happen to have factory flush or raised rails/railings.

In order to assist you with mounting the DockGlide to your crossbars, I went ahead and attached a helpful video that shows you exactly how to do it at timestamp 3:33.
