Replacement Handheld Remote for Superwinch S7500 Winch

Question:
I have a Superwinch S7500 can you tell me if this is a plug and play replacement? My current original controller is 89-42681. Per Richard at Westen formally Superwinch the socket on the 2271 is not the correct socket. However the pic you have online of the socket terminals are exactly configured as the socket I have. Some reviews Ive read on the 2271 say they had to rewire the socket. thanks
