Question:
ive had my controller installed and working for 6 months. Now when i went to adjust the brakes clockwise the LED indicator went down. so i tried the other way and they went down some more. now no matter which way i turn the dial the lights and the brake power stay all the way down. when i push the button to use just the trailer brakes nothing happens. I checked the 30a fuse to the controller and it has power. Does anyone have any idea what happened or what can be done to fix it?

It sounds like you are not getting enough power to your Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller item # C51170. You will want to take a multi-meter like the Item # PT29ZR and ensure you are getting power to your controller. You should be getting 12 volts on the black power wire and when you hit the manual over ride you will get 12v on the blue brake controller wire. If you aren't getting full power you will have a loose connection somewhere and you will want to start at your fuse and work forward until you find it.
