Updated 06/26/2022 | Published 06/24/2022

Question:

Do I need power from the electrical panel 12v to run the thermostat or does the power come from the distribution box that is supplied by 110V? Thank you.

On a Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV the rooftop unit and zone controller # FACC12SA-BL both run off of 115v AC current. The thermostat #FR33PRruns off of 12v DC current.

The zone controller has multiple bundles of wires with the first bundle having 6 wires that you won't need to use, just secure them out of the way. The next bundle has 4 wires in it and these will get connected to your thermostat. Next is a bundle with 3 wires and these will get connected to the 110v power wires on your trailer. Last is a red and black power wire that need to get connected to 12v power on your trailer. Some AC units do not have 12v DC power run to them, so you may need to run wires from the battery to controller.

I've attached the wiring diagram from Furrion below.
