The Center Section for B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRC907 is actually designed to be paired with a custom mounting kit like the:
-B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # BWGNRK1394, which is a custom fit for your 1997 Dodge Ram, but will not work for your flatbed however I do have another solution.
Take a look at the:
- B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500 instead.
This hitch has the exact same maximum weight capacities as # BWGNRC907 but is designed to be used with flatbed trucks.
This is a weld-on installation, features a 5/8" thick, spring-loaded, steel locking pin on the end of the handle that goes all the way through ball to secure it in place, and when you remove the ball you gain the ability to use a 5th wheel hitch # BWRVK3050.
