Will the Thule TracRac TracVan Van Ladder Rack for Savana Van Work with Kayak Carriers

Im looking at purchasing the thule TH29055xt ladder rack for a 2006 gmc topkick. I want to know if the cross bars will accommodate the thule kayak carriers and other accessories or are they bigger dimensions to carry mostly heavy items. I need a gutter mount system but would like to be able to add on accessories more than a standard ladder rack. Thanks

The crossbars that come with the Thule TracRac TracVan Van Ladder Rack part # TH29055XT are much larger than most standard roof rack crossbars so most wrap-around style rooftop accessories wont work. That said, you can still attach some rooftop mounted accessories to these crossbars using the integrated channels. Therefore, the carrier must be compatible with top channels for this to work like the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier part # TH849000 which is what I recommend.
