Thule Elite Van XT Bike Rack Locking Knobs Click and Will Not Open Jaw

Question:
The locking mechanism unlocks, but will not open the jaw. When turning them mechanism, it makes a clicking sound and the jaw will not open

The clamps on the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack # TH302043 should only click when you are turning the locking knob clockwise to tighten them and they are fully secured to your bike frame. Then when you lock them they will spin freely.
If you are turning the knobs clockwise then that would be the reason why the jaws aren't opening. If, however, you're turning the knobs counter-clockwise and while they are unlocked and you're getting that clicking sound then that sounds like a warranty issue to me and you'll want to pursue that since the rack has a limited lifetime warranty.
