Question:
I read the answer you gave to another person with the same Chinook year. I believe the cutout is correct for the A01-2001VP. 1. Did you hear back from the original poster that it fit? 2. My current inlet panel has a door. I worry about the lack of door on this model. Is the unprotected access a problem?

While we did provide the cutout dimensions for that neighbor that you are referring to, we did not hear back from them to confirm whether the Valterra City Water Inlet for RVs in White # A01-2001VP fit their 2000 Chinook. The size you need truly depends on your cutout. If you have a 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" cutout for your inlet panel, these models fit what you have. Like the previous answer, you may have to re-route your hoses to match your inlet depending on your city water inlet's position.
As far as the locking door, it is only an issue if you have a large concern about someone opening it. While we do carry a locking model that uses the same 1-1/8" and 1-1/4" hose connection as the doorless model, it comes with a slightly larger 7-5/8 Inch diameter. It also comes with a larger 5-7/8" wide x 4-3/4" tall cutout dimension. If you are interested in this model, that is the # A01-2004VP. We currently do not carry a locking door model with the exact dimensions as the # A01-2001VP.
