Question:
I have a 2005 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1l 4wd. Actually, I have two. One I replaced the hitch with the Drawtite 41930 but its all stock Autoride. The other came with an Autoride suspension with air bags. I have a nice weight distribution hitch but I read some where in a comment on your site that I shouldnt use both together? PS - will be doing the hitch upgrade thing with the second rig shortly

I have seen where vehicles that use air bags to level the ride height like you have on your 2005 Chevrolet Suburban lead to a less desirable ride quality when using a Weight Distribution Hitch # EQ37100ET. The weight distribution system would confuse the ride height which would lower the air pressure in the bags. This would lead to lots of bouncing as the air bags are not providing the additional support. It is common for those who frequently tow with their Suburban's to remove the air ride system or override the factory computer to make it better for towing.
