Is it normal for the bulge in the middle of the cover? Or should it be the same height all the way across like the yellow truck?

The bulge you're referencing in the middle of the Bestop Supertop for Truck Collapsible Bed Cover # B76303 are the support arms sticking up ensuring that the fabric stays taut and doesn't sink down.
The picture of the yellow truck isn't actually level the entire way, it's just a stock photo of a smaller sized cover which doesn't have the second support arm sticking up like the one in the video of the white truck, which is giving it less of a bulging appearance.
