Availability of Replacement Kwikee Series 38 Step for RV

Question:
Have a Motorhome that has a Kwikee Step Series 38 It needs replaced, that step series obsolete. Looking at Series 39 and 28. Which one will work for me. Plug in on my current system and work without modifications to current system.
