Question:

Hello. Id like to upgrade the tandem spring equalizers on my travel trailer, but Im concerned about getting the correct ones. I see that the 6000LB Dexter K71-652-00 is listed for 33inch spacing between the axles, but I measure mine at around 31inch center to center. Im guessing these are the same equalizers as the K71-654 without all the hardware, and the specs for them say theyre 5 1/4inch to 6 1/4inch spacing between bolt hole centers, and mine seem to be about 5 1/2inch which I think should work. The trailer is a 2018 Coachman Apex 250RLS - 7000LBS gross, and the existing equalizers are stamped Dexter#13-104. Lastly, would you recommend these, or perhaps another brand/style for what Ive described? THANK YOU!

The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 is the kit I recommend for your 2018 Coachman Apex 250RLS. This kit will replace the Curved Equalizer # TREQ104 that you currently have along with all the standard bolts with wet bolts for your leaf springs.

The Dexter Replacement Equalizers # K71-654-00 are the same as the equalizers you get in the above kit. These are generally used if someone already has wet bolts or their equalizers wear out over time.

I recommend carrying a Grease Gun # L30416 with Grease # L11390 so that you can ensure the wet bolts are filled. The flexible hose makes it easier to access all the grease points without having to remove any parts.
