Draw-Tite Front Hitch for a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 w/ the 3.0L Duramax Diesel Engine

Question:

Jerred, Etrailer tech Greg M indicates the Curt c31088 will not fit the Sierra with a 3.0 diesel which is what I have. You recommended this but if its not going to work, per Greg, I don’t want an install issueand return. I need a no drill front hitch that does not extend beyond the front of the truck and will fit a 2021 Sierra with the 3.0 Duramax diesel. I’m good with either Curt or Drawtite but need the correct model for my vehicle with the above criteria. If more than one will work, please let me know.

Our fitguides get updated regularly when we get new information from our techs after they do installs. There has been a revision to the fitment of the Curt item # C31088 front end hitch on the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500's. It no longer fits and the question you referenced has been taken off of our website.

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # DT44HR is confirmed to fit your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax Diesel engine. The Draw-Tite uses different mounting points than the Curt. The Curt item # C31088 will not fit the 3.0L Duramax or 2.7L Turbo Gas engine due to the intercoolers.
