Question:

I have a shorelander boat trailer. Its a 2001 dual axle. My boat weigs 5000lbs.. I want to add a electric winch. Problem is getting one to fit . It has a boomerang. type manual winch on it now. Whats your best one... I want one that cranks manual also.

The Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch # DL25215 is our best electric winch. It comes with a 20' strap and has a rating of 3,000lbs load capacity. If your trailer is using bunk boards it can handle boats up to 6,000lbs, while roller bunks would be able to support up to 9,000lbs. It does have the ability to be used manually that you are wanting. I do recommend having the Winch Cover # DL24051 to protect the winch and strap from UV and weather damage when not in use.

The Dutton-Lainson Mounting Adapter Plate # DL24055 will make mounting your winch much easier as the plate has the quick mount studs.
