Question:
Does this fit a 2006 Mercedes R500?

We offer two different Class III hitches that are a fit for your 2006 M/B R500. Both the Curt # C13103 and the Draw-Tite # 75470 offer a 3500 lb towing/ 350 lb tongue weight capacity, but the warranty requirements of the Curt hitch stipulate that a stabilizing strap like # 18050 needs to be used for non-trailer loads like bike racks or cargo carriers. Because the Draw-Tite hitch has no such stipulation, I would recommend the Draw-Tite over the Curt hitch.
I have linked you to the installation instructions for each hitch.
