There are no stake pockets on a toyota tacoma, so how does it install? The BAK MX4 cover lowers the bed rail system, is there an adapter that connects to that?

According to the research I have available on the 2022 Toyota Tacoma, if you do not have plastic tabs covering the stake pockets, the pockets are most likely housed underneath the bed rail caps. Some newer models of Toyota trucks require cutting the caps in order to access the stake pockets. Toyota did this to decrease water infiltration with beds that either have open pockets or removable tabs to access the pockets. Before cutting, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual or reaching out to your local Toyota dealer to confirm that your bed model has these under-cap pockets.
