Troubleshooting a Stuck Valterra Extension Rod for a RV Waste Valve

My backwater tank has a valterra valve the rod is bent a little bit so it makes it kind of hard to push it in and out does the whole valve need to be replaced or does the rod unscrew from the paddle and you can screw a new one in I would appreciate that help
