Yes, the Flex-a-lite Direct Fan Dual Electric Radiator Fan with Shroud # FLX284 can be used for towing applications on your 2004 Chevy Silverado with the 6.6L V8 diesel engine. Unfortunately, this fan (and all other fans) does not change the maximum weight capacity rating of your vehicle any higher than the stock setup.
