Bolts Too Large to Get Through Frame Hole on 2001 Chrysler Town & Country w/ Curt Hitch C13362

Question:

In trying to use the neat fish wire to install the bolts inside frame of the van, I found the flange on the head of the bolts is to wide to pass inside the long slot on the way to the hole for the bolt. how am I to get the bolt inside the frame member?

That is a common issue on vehicles like your 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, so what you'll need to do since the bolts are too large for the frame holes with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13362 is grind open the hole.

Use a step/grinding drill bit to do that, or you can also use a file to open the hole to allow the bolt to pass through.
