Does Shocker HD Air Receiver Hitch Combination Ball Mount # SHK65VR Fit 2-1/2 inch Hitch

Question:

im a little confused as to what hitch this will fit. it says its for a 2 1/2inch but in the footnote at the bottom it says that it will not fit a 2 1/2inch even with a reducer, which leads me to think its for a 2. i just want to make sure that it will work for me. Im looking at it for my 2018 ram 1500 for pulling my ice castle. i get alot of chucking towing that. thank you.

The Shocker HD Air Receiver Hitch - Combination Ball Mount # SHK65VR does fit a 2-1/2 inch hitch directly. The tech tip you mentioned is a generic one that applies to both hitch sizes for these ball mounts:

A 2" Shocker Air receiver will not fit a 2-1/2" hitch even with a reducer sleeve as trucks with 2-1/2" hitches have deeper frames.
A 2-1/2" Shocker Air receiver will fit a 3" hitch with a reducer sleeve.
