Thank you for getting back to me and sharing the link. I have a 2008 Honda Ridgeline with oversized tires (265/70/R17). Would the heavier chains work for this application?

The pewag Servo RS Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair # PWRS76 and the # PWRSV82 are very similar tire chain models. They are both Class S compatible, include self-tensioners, and have plastic bumpers that provide rim protection during use. Also, as far as required wheel well clearance, both chains require a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well and at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself. I went ahead and attached a picture to show you how to conduct this measurement on your vehicle.

As far as the differences, the # PWRS76 and # PWRSV82 are designed for different tire sizes (compatible sizes are listed near the bottom of the product pages). Also, they have slightly different link thicknesses. The # PWRS76 has a link thickness of 3.2mm and the # PWRSV82 has a link thickness of 3.5mm thick.

In order to know for sure if either of these chains fit your tire size and your vehicle, feel free to respond to this answer with your tire size and your year/make/model of vehicle, and I will be happy to confirm the fitment for you.

If you have size 265/70-17 tires on your 2008 Honda Ridgeline, the only pair that is confirmed to fit that tire size is the thicker/heavier # PWRSV82. The # PWRS76 does not fit your tire size. However, it is still important to make sure you have the required clearance mentioned in the previous answer. Feel free to use that attached photo to help you determine if you have enough clearance.
