To determine if the carrier will work in your 2021 Subaru Outback you'll need a couple things; one is that your Outback needs to have grab handles above the rear seats. And you'll need to measure the distance between the grab handles (where they attach to your Subaru) and that distance needs to be between 35-1/2" and 47" apart in order to install the Inno Fishing Rod Carrier # IN56FR.

The sunroof and power rear gate won't be an issue as this mounts inside your Outback.
