Regarding your fifth wheel hitch to goosneck adapters, ie: Item # AM3100, are these suitable for long term use or should they only be used temporarily? Do they put excess strain on the trailer side of the existing fifth wheel hitch?

The Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 is definitely suitable for long term use and will not put any excess strain on the trailer. The adapter is a good solution for anyone that wants to use their 5th-wheel camping trailer with the gooseneck hitch on their truck. Keep in mind, this adapter is designed to be used with standard pin boxes only. Do not use with a cushioned or air ride pin box.
