For your application I recommend using the Aries 3" Nerf Bars. These are designed to fit your 2002 Ford Ranger 4-Door Cab and come in both Black # AA203033 and Silver # AA203033-2. The nerf bars run the length of your cab and come with custom mounting brackets so you won't be drilling into your truck.
