Question:

I have a trailer hitch on my 2022 Atlas but I don't have anything to power the lights or brakes on a trailer. So it looks like I need to add some wiring, I see there are some 4-way options but what do I need to add a 7-way plug onto my vehicle? Thank you.

In order to add a 7-way to your 2022 Volkswagen Atlas for your lights and brakes you will need to start by adding a 4-way. For that I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118754. This will plug into your existing wiring using the T-One connectors so no cutting or splicing is required. Once installed, you will have a 4-way connection that can power your trailer's signal lights and will be able to add the 7-way.

For the 7-way you need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with a 7-way adapter, wiring, and everything else you will need to get your 7-way up and running. The adapter also has a 4-way connection so you will be able to use both depending on what you need.
