How do I Determine What Axle I Have?

I reached out to my rep at Dexter, and unfortunately we cannot identify your axle with that provided axle tag/serial number.

With that being said, we can narrow down what axle you have by looking for specific information available. For example, if there is information that states that you have a maximum weight capacity of 7,000 pounds, you most likely have 2 3,500 pound axles. If you have the bearings, races, and seals available on your hubs, you can find the part numbers on the rings of those parts that can provide you with a lot of information about what axle is compatible I went ahead and attached a chart that shows how you can use the part numbers of the bearings, races, and grease seals to identify the axle you have.

You also need to know the bolt pattern on your axles. I went ahead and attached a link that shows you how to determine what bolt pattern you have.

If you are able to get more information about your axle with this information, feel free to respond with that info and I will be happy to see if we can find an axle replacement for you.
