Will Diode Protect Wiring on Trailer From Backfeeding to Trailer Light

Question:
I keep burning out the same LED boat trailer light regardless of whether or not if even gets submerged in water. Could this be driven by a voltage spike to only that light? If so, is there something that I can put in the line to that light to stabilize the power going to that light? ANY thoughts welcomed. Ive been through 4 of those lights in one year and theyre OEM to the trailer.

Adding a diode like the Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode # RM-690 will help isolate that trailer light and will protect it from backfeed. I do recommend checking all of your grounds and connections though because if you protect this one and the issue is on the main wire then it might cause backfeed to go to a different light.
