Could Gen-y Torsion 2 Ball Mount be Used with Car Hauler
Updated 01/10/2022 | Published 01/09/2022 >
Question:
I just purchased a 34inch 2-car enclosed car hauler. 2 vehicles at a time will be at best 12-14k lbs with a dry trailer weight of approximately 5k lbs. Will this hold up? Also, are the sway bars necessary for my setup?

Yes, the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1524 would work great with a car hauler that would be carrying 12k-14k like you referenced as it is rated for up to 21k. If you have a newer truck with a higher towing capacity a weight distribution system wouldn't necessarily be needed. Since WD systems have to be setup for the tongue weight of a trailer I don't like to recommend them for car haulers unless they are absolutely needed since the weight of the trailer will change a lot.
