Question:
Hello, What system would you recommend for this make and model? I also need to find an installation expert team in my area of New Orleans, LA 70130. My Mercedes dealership indicates they will not do the install and they have no recommendations. Please advise and thanks for your help. If I can order from you guys, I may be able to find a German Car installation specialist in the area. Regards

For your 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL550 I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13190. This is a custom fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a concealed cross tube to help maintain a factory look, with a max gross trailer weight of 7,500 lbs and tongue weight of 900 lbs. It features a gloss black powder coat finish, bolt-on installation, and a limited lifetime warranty.
If you plan on doing some towing, I also recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This wiring harness uses zero-contact interface sensors that clamp onto your vehicle wiring. It will provide you with a 4-way connection at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.
For a complete towing setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference. To locate an installer, look for the "Locate installers near me" link on any of the product pages below the videos. Follow the link and it will allow you to use your zip code to find options nearby for installation.
