Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2013 Ford Escape

Question:

Will the wiring harness # 118566 work with any escape? I have the SE model. And what is the difference between the wiring harness that connects in the back and then sticks out the tailgate vs the one that plugs into factory connections. Do all the escape models have the plug in connections? Thanks,

There are basically two different styles of wiring harnesses available for your 2013 Ford Escape that we offer. There is the kind that plug in-line with the factory wiring of your tail lights like the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118566 that you referenced and there are the kind that have to be hard-wired like the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 119179KIT.

We currently do not have any connectors that would plug into the OEM connections under your vehicle, you may check with a dealer to see if they can set you up with something for that.

Either should fit your vehicle well, but if I were you I would go with the # C13186 since it would be an easier install.
