For your 2018 Ram 2500 Short Bed Ram Box I recommend the UWS Truck Bed Chest # UWS01017. This box is 42" wide which will give you a lid that is 42-7/8" wide.
The UWS Truck Bed Chest # UWS01045 that you are looking at has a lid that is 48-7/8" wide and the informational material I can find on your Ram Box shows that the interior bed width is only 48.1" wide.
A HitchMate TireStep # HE4040 will make it much easier to access the chest in your bed.
