Installing The Diamond RV Lighting T5 Bulb Into A Ballast With A Switch
Published 12/23/2021 >
Question:
Im not the handiest guy when it comes to electricity so I need some guidance. The directions with the light are very confusing. I have a switch on the fixture. Your video review says to just wire the new LED into the power source, but in that way it by passes the switch. On the existing fixture, one wire ties into the power source, the other into the ballast. What do I remove and what do I hook up? My guess is this is a dumb question, but if you can walk me through this it would be a great help. Many thanks and happy holidays.

To still be able to utilize the switch on your ballast you would need to cut the connectors off of the wires for the T5 LED Light Bulb # DI43VR and splice the to the switch. The switch is an interrupter of the power so wiring the bulb to the switch instead of just straight to the power will allow you to retain use of the switch.
