Question:
I just bought a new trailer with barn doors in rear. They have t strap hinges but doors only open 90 degrees. Is that normal for those type hinges?

Expert Reply:
The hinge rotation is going to depend on the design of the T-strap hinge. For example, the Square Corner T-Strap Hinge w/ Reverse Bracket # PLR4040 is capable of a 270 degree rotation based on its design. The # PLR3408 only allows for 180 degrees of rotation. Unless something else is blocking them or limiting the movement, it is likely that 90 degrees is the limit of the hinges you currently have.
I have attached a link to all of our available T-strap hinges if you would like to try to find a replacement with more rotation.
