Question:
I have a hydraulic dovetail trailer with a converter and battery charger that operates off of 110v AC, a normal wall outlet plug. Is there a way to wire the trailer such that it can receive power from the truck battery instead? Can I add additional wiring to route the 12v power from the 7-way connector to the charger?

You will need the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Dual Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 25 Amp # 331-BCDC1225D and the Trailer Installation Kit for Redarc BCDC - 25 Amp # e79ZR.
This charger and install kit will set you up with a connection point at the rear of your truck and the front of your trailer to let you connect your trailer to your truck power source and disconnect it when not needed.
In regards to using your 7 way that can be done with Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 but this only provides a trickle charge and not a full on battery charge.
