Distance From The Pin Hole To The Closest Upright On The Roadmaster RM-195125 Spare Tire Carrier

Question:

In the measurement photo it shows a length of 5 1/4inch from the pin hole to the closest touch point... but in the video he measures/shows that distance to be 7 3/4. Can you confirm which measurement is correct. Thank you.

There seemed to be a few discrepancies with the measurement you requested, so I decided to go pull a Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195125 out of the box and check for myself. With that said, I did get completely different measurements. I included a diagram of what I got, but the closest real touch point will be right at 6-3/4" from the center of the pin hole (Black arrow). There is technically a small part of that bracket's gusset that will measure at 5-1/2" from the center of the pin hole, but this is welded almost flush with the hitch tube and the part that will not be near a bumper or anything like that. The diagram shows this better than I am explaining it and the Blue arrow is what I am referring to.
