Yes, the AquaFresh Heated Drinking Water Hose for RVs - 25' Long x 1/2" Diameter - 120V # W01-5325 can be used with a small extension cord. In the attached review video for this product you can see Hayden plugging this product into an extension cord to power it.

The length of the threaded portion of the cylinder is 1/2". However, when you put the rubber washer on the cylinder and the back nut on as little as possible, the remaining clearance is 1/4". I have attached two pictures showing this.

I went out to the warehouse to measure the diameter of the threaded part that fits through the hole on the Camco Cam Lock - Straight or Offset - Thumb Operated - 5/8" Thick Item #CAM44333 for you. It has a 3/4 inch diameter.
