Is There a Lock For Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack

Question:

Any locking system to secure this to your cross bars? Pretty pricy item to not have this option. Do they make a rail kit for the smaller 48 inch x 38 inch platform?

While there isn't a specific lock, what you can do is add a cable lock to secure the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars # RR42114BF.

You can wrap the cable lock through the Pioneer # RR43164B and around your crossbars or raised side rails if your vehicle has them, which will add security. I recommend going with the Trimax Thex Super Chain Lock # TMX87ZR.

This will add an extra layer of security for you to protect the investment you made in the Pioneer. In regards to the rail kit, there was at one time but it was discontinued by Rhino-Rack. For tie-downs you can use the Rhino-Rack Ratchet Strap Kit for Pioneer Platform Rack # RR43175 or Eye Bolt Kit for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack # RR43178.
