Question:
I have a Subaru outback 2014 2.5 limited and a camp trailer with about 1700lb and about 250lb tongue wt. T.W. is over the Subaru rated 200#. Im thinking about a weight dist. hitch or sumo springs foam coil s to correct things. What do you think?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your 2014 Subaru Outback is not rated for use with a weight distribution system the best option would be a suspension enhancement kit that fits your vehicle like the Coil SumoSprings part # CSS-1094R. But no option will give your vehicle/hitch a higher towing capacity to tow beyond the capacities of your vehicle. We do have higher rated hitches that fit your vehicle like the Draw Tite part # 76227 but if your vehicle is rated for only 200 lbs tongue weight this also wouldn't give you additional capacity. It would only help if your current hitch was the weakest point.
