Will the RoadActive Suspension Kit Fit a 1982 Chevrolet C10 Lowered 4 Inches
Updated 12/08/2021 | Published 12/01/2021 >
Question:
Does the RAS kit fit my 1982 c10 if I lowered the rear about 4” from stock by changing the shackles in the rear system? I was thinking this system maybe a good solution before changing the rear to an independent suspension system.

In order to find if the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4611-T fits your 1982 Chevrolet C10 you will need to measure. You need to find the distance from the top of the spring, taken 8" from the eye, to the underside of the chassis. This measurement needs to be at least 4.5" in order to use the system. Assuming you have at least that much clearance the kit will fit.
The RAS will do a great job supporting your rear leaf springs. It actively strengthens the leaf springs while helping to extend their life. This kit eliminates axle wrap, wheel hop and bottoming out. It also helps to keep your ride level.
I have attached a review video as well as a diagram showing the measurement you need below (Measurement D).
