I would be happy to help you figure out the installation of the # CAM35983. The 3-way bypass valve connects to the blue hose, which will be your cold water. It will also connect to the nylon hose from the kit as well as the hot water heater. When the 3-way valve is open, cold water will flow into your water heater as usual. When you switch it to bypass, it will direct the water through the included nylon hose.
From there, you will connect the backflow preventer to the other connection on the water heater where the red hose was attached, which is where the hot water flows out. This prevents antifreeze from leaking back into the water heater when the 3-way bypass is set to "bypass." The plastic tee will connect the backflow preventer, nylon hose, and red flex hose.
