Question:
Can I flat tow a 2010 Dodge Dakota?

Expert Reply:
4 Wheel drive models of the 2010 Dodge Dakota can be flat towed, if the transfer case is put in Neutral. Rear wheel driver models would need to be towed on a flat bed trailer.
In order to flat tow your Dakota, you'll need a base plate kit like # 52276-1, a tow bar like the Falcon All Terrain, part # RM-522 and # RM-643 safety cables.
You'll also need a flat towing wiring setup like # RM-152-98146-7, a # RM-766 battery disconnect and a supplemental braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.
If the installed height of the base plate and the receiver height on the motorhome have a height difference greater than 3 inches, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring it within that range. I'll link to our selection of adapters, as well as to a help article that shows how to measure to find the height difference.
